Friday's breadth breakdown gave way to some repair today, but the advancing cohort kept shrinking. The market remains Neutral — Fading. Tomorrow's routine still calls for selective chart review rather than treating the index bounce as permission to broaden the search.
Less pressure, no trend repair
Advancers outnumbered decliners, but only 25.4% of stocks sit above their 200-day average. Over five sessions, 9 stocks moved from basing to advancing, against 66 moving from advancing to topping. Friday's transition deficit was 58, correcting our earlier reading of 47. Tonight it is 57. The pressure eased slightly; the drain from Stage 2 remains.
Telecom recovers; IT's gap widens
Telecom equipment, whose price resilience broke last week, rebounded 2.8% with advancing participation holding at 50%. Paper Products recovered 2%, but its advancing share stayed at 32%, so Friday's participation damage has not repaired. Energy's advancing share also held at 51.7%, still the highest among sectors. IT remains the monthly return leader at 9.6%, yet its advancing share slipped from 21.5% to 21.1%. That is a narrower foundation for the rally.
Keep the review selective
Delta Corp leads the early setup list with a score of 8.4, followed by One Point One Solutions at 8.2. The latter sits 5.9% above its 50-day average, but its sector's narrowing participation warrants care when reviewing the chart. Existing holdings deserve attention first: TVS Motor Company and R R Kabel moved from advancing into Stage 3 topping tonight. These are screening observations, not trade instructions.
