Monday's breadth breakdown has deepened, and the telecom resilience we highlighted has turned. The market remains Neutral — Fading. Tomorrow's screening calls for selectivity rather than a longer shortlist; isolated setups still lack broad market support.

The damage extends beyond the index

Only 28.4% of stocks are above their 200-day averages, a six-week low. Yearly lows exceeded highs by 433, the widest negative gap in six weeks. The shrinking advancing cohort is now accompanied by deeper long-term weakness.

There is a correction to Monday's note: its five-session transition deficit has been revised to 49 from the 60 we reported. Tonight it narrowed to 46. That is less deterioration in the flow between stages, but Stage 2 participation is still falling.

The exceptions need separating

Telecom equipment no longer supports our earlier resilience reading: both price and participation have weakened. Paper Products held its 36% advancing share and rose 0.5% today, preserving that narrower thread.

Public banks, which stood apart on Monday, retained 25% advancing participation and a 16.7-point expansion over 20 sessions. Financials overall slipped to 19.9% advancing. The exception has survived without spreading across the sector.

Health Care remains the strongest sector on relative strength and finished flat today. Its advancing share has nevertheless contracted by 11.1 points over 20 sessions. Relative shelter is not broad trend repair.

Early candidates, not a market signal

One Point One Solutions leads the early-stage candidates with a setup score of 8.6, followed by Delta Corp at 8.4. These are names for further screening, not evidence that conditions have become more supportive.

The other side of tonight's stage changes matters too. Vodafone Idea and Hero MotoCorp moved from advancing to topping. Caplin Point Laboratories also left Stage 2, despite Health Care's relative strength. Those are changes in trend classification, not instructions to trade.
