Sector-level stage mix, weighted returns, and RS context help you decide whether the market is broadening or hiding in a narrow set of pockets. That matters before you trust any breakout list.
Broad participation matters. If only one sector is carrying the tape, you want tighter criteria and smaller exposure. If multiple sectors are rising together with growing Stage 2 participation, the scanner deserves more attention.
